The following case-studies demonstrate what can be achieved in terms of help for the psychological effects of abortion by practicing the simple self-help method of higher-consciousness healing.

Case study 1: Barbara (31 years)

Barbara experienced strong and lasting guilt feelings about an abortion she had had several years earlier. The abortion had been advised by her doctor because the foetus was severely disabled and it was highly unlikely that the baby would have survived for longer than a few hours after being born. Barbara had followed the advice of her doctor but her guilt feelings were so strong that every time she talked about the abortion she started to cry.

My task as a life-coach was not to tell her whether it was morally right or wrong to have this abortion but to help her to come to terms with the difficult situation as it was presented to me. So I advised her to send love first to herself and then to her baby with the help of a healing-symbol. Doing this made Barbara cry at first but she could quickly feel the healing effect of this practice. When Barbara came back after two weeks she was very happy and had a smile all over her face. ‘I feel connected in my heart to this baby’, she said, ‘and I feel enriched by this contact. I don’t feel guilty at all anymore’.

Case-study 2: Sarah (35 years)

Sarah had contacted me about relationship problems and we worked successfully on many areas of her life. However, she felt very reluctant to go on any blind dates and felt that something made her feel guilty about the prospect of doing so. Eventually, Sarah told me that she felt a very strong guilt about an abortion that she had had as a young woman. ‘I feel like God wants to punish me for having the abortion’, she said, ‘and this is why I can’t find a partner.’

I showed Sarah how to use higher-consciousness healing to send love to herself and to her unborn child. She was very happy to do this and as a result her feelings of guilt dissolved. Sarah felt much more confident and deserving about finding a partner and started to go on blind dates, which is something that she was unable to do before.
