This year let’s all plan to enjoy ourselves and the holidays. Why not? It’s a decision! A few of the reasons that we don’t enjoy the holidays is simply because we are reliving past holiday experiences. We are going over mental lists of what we previously happened. We are stuck in fear and wanting to change things. If we are holding onto regret we can be certain, it will prevent us from being in the energy of enjoyment. So with that being said, what things can we do to enjoy the holidays? Well let’s begin with a having a great attitude and a positive intention for all that we do.

Intentions are choices. Decide to enjoy everything. Decide you are going to make the best of whatever situation arises. Have an intention to love at all times. Hold in mind exactly what you would like to happen. For example holding in mind, “Everything is now perfect” is a great intention. Another great intention is “It would be great to have everything appear easily and effortlessly.” How about, “Today I’m in charge and everything is peaceful and harmonious. “ Remind yourself throughout the day of what your intention is so that you keep experiencing joyful outcomes.

Look beyond any limiting challenges and be willing to have a better outcome. Could it get any better? Can you let go of being so smart and allow it to be other than you think it is? Of course you can! Enjoying the holidays, in spite of whatever else is going on, is choosing to be positive.

Other things we can do to enjoy the holidays includes a willingness to see goodness in everything. Please believe that LOVE is the answer to having wonderful and enjoyable holidays. Let’s begin by loving the weather. Now love the traffic. Love your to-do lists. Love your pocketbook. Love yourself. Love others. Be generous in praise of yourself. Be grateful for everything just as it is. Wherever you happen to be right in this moment, can you enjoy being there? Whatever you happen to be doing in this moment (and in every moment) can you enjoy doing it? Whatever limitations that you are holding onto, can you let them go?

Everything that we experience is a choice. If we are holding in mind, “I hope things work out..,” trust this is other than what we would like to experience. This phrase includes doubt, fear, and regret. See everything exactly the way you would like it to be. Lester Levenson and Larry Crane remind us to "Hold in mind only what we want," (positve only) and to never hold onto those things we wish to avoid. If we are focusing on lack, that is what we will be creating. So in order to turn things around, we have to change what we are holding in mind or focusing our attention on. If you would like to experience enjoyable holidays, you have to practice holding this in mind. Life is a decision. Happy Holidays!
