If one buys into the news, these are desperate times. Someone gets a job called news reporter. The news reporter knows if he or she can find out some juicy information, they will endear themselves to their employer. Usually it’s that your favorite food will kill you. These days, it’s that you‘re going to lose all your money and be penniless. Notice that both of the preceding sentences brought up fear---that’s just what the news reporter is trying to do.

The reporter takes the juicy, negative, scary news story to someone who has gotten a job called, news editor. The news editor is delighted because it’s obvious this story “has legs.” It’s a scoop and it will really thrill the owner of the news conglomerate who can use the scoop to control how the masses of people think and feel. The owner of the media outlets, TV networks, 24 hour news channels, and newspapers can use the story to capture people’s attention, drive the ratings and sell more advertising thus fattening his wealth. Not only that, he can use the news to push people in the direction of his philosophical leanings.

News happens, gets reported as if it’s just the way it is, as if it’s some universal truth, people feel desperate and they take desperate action.

A dictionary definition of the word desperate is, a hopeless feeling that things are so bad they are impossible to deal with.

Anyone who believes that things are so bad they are impossible to deal with is feeling desperate and sees no way out. For anyone convinced of that (these days, convinced of it by the news) there is no way out.

In the Release Technique, you find out that negative news is garbage. Negative news is any news that drags anyone down, that is full of “I can’ts and impossibles. Negative news is news that emphasizes what’s wrong.

In the Release Technique you learn that negative news does not help you. It is information you do not need. You learn that your mind is fascinated by negative news; your mind likes to think about it, talk about and dwell on it. That’s why negative news does not help you. It turns you negative.

In the Release Technique, you learn there are no impossibles. You learn that no one needs to suffer. You learn there is a way out.

The way out is being positive in spite of what is happening. In the Release Technique you realize that life is a decision. You find out that you decide whether to be positive or negative all day long on any subject.

Someone may say, “That news made me feel bad. That bill that came in the mail made me feel bad. The gas price made me feel bad. The bank trouble made me feel bad.” In the Release Technique you see, thinking something out there makes you feel bad, is playing the role of victim. It’s unconsciously making a decision to feel bad and blaming it on something or someone out there.

In the Release Technique you learn to take responsibility for whatever is happening in your life. You learn how you feel about something is your decision. You hear some news about the economy. It’s your decision not to be bothered or to be bothered and go into a fit of rage or whatever drama your mind tells you to act out.

The news doesn’t drag you down. It’s your unconscious reaction to the news that drags you down. Someone once said, what if there’s a war and no one shows up? Similarly, what if there’s a news report and no one reacted? What if the head of the Fed said something---the sky is falling---and no one took any action on what he said?

An event happens, let’s say it’s a horrific event, you have a decision, go negative or stay positive in spite of whatever is happening. Here’s an example. Let’s say your bank went under and you find out the deposits are not insured by the FDIC---the government insurance program. It’s decision time. Go negative, get angry, scream, yell, attack someone at the bank, ball up in the corner and cry. How does any of that help you? How does that help you recover your money? How does that help you to find a solution? Of course, it does not. It makes you fearful, stressed out, frustrated, and out of control, all of that taking you further from any positive way out of the situation.

Can you see how, when something happens, and you maintain a positive attitude , it is in the direction of a solution, it is in the direction of something good happening? You are positive and positive comes your way. Positive happens to you when you are positive.

Deciding to have a positive attitude does not mean reciting a mantra or saying an affirmation over and over. Granted, that’s better than flying into negativity. However, the effective way and lasting way to get positive is by letting go of the negative, not by painting it over with words. Trying to get positive by saying everything is positive, by trying to convince yourself that everything is alright, is not the answer. When you do that, you’re covering up the negative. The answer is dropping the negative, getting rid of the negative never to be bothered by it again. That is what you learn to do in the Release Technique.

The answer to the current flood of negative news is to be positive in spite of it. The negative news is creating negativity. People take it for gospel truth and they act on it. Going negative along with the news, gets you embroiled in all the negative. And, negative always takes you down. Negative never takes you up. How could it? Negative brings you more negative.

The answer is to be positive in spite of whatever the news is saying. The Release Technique gives you the tools to be positive in spite of what is happening. You learn the skills to rid yourself of all that negativity and when you do, you are positive and cannot be touched by news or events the news reports.

Go to www.releasetechnique.com and get started today being positive in spite of all the negative news. You do not need to live desperate, hopeless, and wondering what to do about it. The answer is to get rid of negativity, be positive and enjoy a wonderful, abundant life with ease. Take positive action now.
