The Star Trek franchise is timeless. Not only do its themes transcend eras, but Gene Roddenberry's original vision has continued to resonate through 13 movies and an astounding eight television series. The total number of seasons and episodes, and hopefully soon the number of films too, continues to rise. Star Trek may have begun in 1966, but it feels like in 2020 we are still on the upswing. 1. Memory Alpha :What can top this encyclopedia of all things Star Trek? That's right, nothing. If you're old enough, you might remember browsing through technical manuals in the 1970's and 80's or the Star Trek Encyclopedia by Michael and Denise Okuda in the 90's. Memory Alpha is the mother load of it all. Every piece of Star Trek canon is here. It also has a lot of behind the scenes real life information.

2. Ex Astris Scientia :While Memory Alpha is managed by a host of editors, this project is the baby of one dedicated fan. It's a thing of beauty . Founded back in 1998, Ex Astris Scientia includes lots of canon information, but it also goes beyond to discuss and understand the implications of everything Trek--scientific, philosophical, and artistic. It also neatly maps to tons of other Star Trek information, sites and resources.

3. Trek Movie :Despite the title, they cover it all. If you want the latest Trek news, this is where you go because no site is more up to date on the latest happenings of Star Trek. The website gets its title from when it was founded: back in 2006 when J.J. Abrams signed on to do the first reboot film. Trek Movie started reporting on the production developments of what would eventually become Star Trek (2009). They grew from there.

4. Jammer's Reviews :Here you'll find reviews on everything. I mean everything. If it's Star Trek, Jammer's reviewed it. The site is always fair, insightful and timely. The best part is that it's all from a fan's perspective, without going all fanboy-style. 9. Memory Beta :Brining it back full circle to #1 on our list, this is the database for everything non-canon. All those novels, video games, RPG games, comics and anything else that you loved that isn't official Star Trek history can be found here. 10. Startrek.com :What list would be complete without the official Star Trek site, or as they call it, "The Official gateway to the final frontier"? There's a lot here and it's really improved over the years as they've taken a more collaborative approach with fan sites. I know, don't remind me about Axanar. It's not official until it's in Startrek.com.
