Commonly there is no harm in having one or two moles and so skin mole removal is not required in such cases.

But if there is some change in the appearance of the moles or they begin to increase gradually, it indicates that there is some problem somewhere. It may indicate some disorders of the skin or even cancer. If there are moles on the face of a person it may disfigure his appearance and consequently he suffers from lack of self confidence . As a result of this, removing the moles is necessary in such instances.

There are different techniques for removal of moles. Moles are removed through laser beams, surgery, electrocautery (burning) and natural methods. The individual taking treatment for removing the mole should be patient as they have to visit the surgeon or specialist frequently.

Normally surgery is advised for removal of the moles which may have become cancerous. Surgery involves removal of not only the mole but also their underlying tissue as this method eradicates all the cancer cells also.

You can find three surgical methods for getting rid of moles. They are (i) by the excision procedure. In this technique the mole and the tissues underneath are cut and taken out by making an oval shaped incision with a surgical blade. The extent of the incision depends on the growth of the wart and the extent of the cancer cells. The excision is closed with stitches. (ii) by the cauterization technique which uses a cautery tool to burn suture the mole. This technique does not require any stitches. (iii) The shaving method, where the mole is shaved off from the surface of the skin. This procedure is utilized for those moles protruding from the skin's surface. However, this procedure only removes the mole cells from the surface and so the underlying mole cells may make the mole to grow again.

Then there is the cosmetic procedure which uses laser beams to remove the mole. The laser beam bursts the cells of the mole. The procedure involves beaming the laser on the mole. The laser beams heats up the cells which gets broken down and are absorbed by the body during its healing process. This procedure is best for flat, small and fresh moles. This technique is time taking as numerous sessions are needed for elimination of the moles. This technique is not painful and no scars are left behind.

Herbal topical creams are used to eliminate the moles in the natural method. The mole is at first scratched in order to allow the penetration of the cream inside the dermis. Later a scab forms gradually after the cream is applied for a length of time on the surface of the mole. The scab should be allowed to fall off naturally.

The different skin mole removal techniques explained above are popular and very effective mainly because they remove the moles permanently. Nevertheless proper care is essential because there may be infection. So you should always take the help from a qualified dermatologists or surgeon for undertaking any mole removal treatment.
