"LUCKY THIRTEEN" DYNAMIC "GOD-GIVEN" PRINCIPLES FOR SUCCESSFUL LIVING

Introduction:
Craig has been studying the amazing powers of the human mind, as well as the "secrets of success" for the past decade and plenty (and particularly the link between psychological principles and spiritual "laws"). This article (in point form for brevity) is based on my notes from a most inspiring and uplifting adress by an American by the name, "Skip" Ross from many years ago (however the principles, I believe, are eternal truths). I am sharing the contents of this former Amway man's work in the spirit of encouraging and hopefully even inspiring those people, who really want to achieve their dreams in life, whatever they may be " to just GO FOR IT".

Thank you sincerely, "Skip" for sharing (humorously) your most uplifting words of wisdom in encouraging me to follow my passion and to reach for my personal
dreams . I (in turn) am passing them on through the amazing power of the www, as my dream is helping others to realise their personal dreams in life.

Now on to the article (at long last!)...

1. Firstly work on your SELF IMAGE (daily). You are special, unique with the
spark of divinity in you.
However, here are 5 Steps to change your self image (should you wish). KNOW that
you have God given equipment:
i. You have genius within you.
ii. You have perfect memory.
iii. You have tremendous physical strength.
iv. You are teachable.
v. You can change for good ...in an INSTANT

Here are the five steps to change your self image.1. Realise that the image you have of yourself was made in error - it was based on feelings - not facts.

2. This mistake can be corrected. You can INSTANTLY change what you are saying to yourself - the negative self-talk ("chatter") in your head.
.
3. Decide WHO it is you want to be. Have a mentor - someone in history who inspires you.

4. Write down the characteristics you want to have.

5. Spend time every day with the person you want to be - contemplate and meditate.
*
After Number one...

The LAWS (or PRINCIPLES) of:

2. GIVING (and receiving) - the "magic" principle of giving... or the law of Cause and Effect (the thoughts of a scientist).
Also known as the Law of Compensation (Emerson): Like attracts like - action and reaction, the law of supply and demand, the law of radiation and attraction -what you radiate out, you attract. You never get something for nothing. You always have something to give (first); then you will reap the harvest (results).
This may also be known as the Law of Service: Put service first and help others succeed - the more you help others, the more you help yourself. No person can become 'truly successful', without helping others first.

"What you sow, so shall you reap."
"Give and it will be given unto you.""Give and thou shalt receive."
"Sow and you will reap a bumper harvest."

3. Vacuum:
Get rid of what you don't want to make room in your life for what you DO want.Nature will do all it can to fill the void.
Choose what your read carefully.

4. The Principle of CREATION:
I believe we humans were 'born to create' something and I get my greatest satisfaction in creating and sharing ideas in the forms of words and books .
Write down what you want in the present tense. The principle reason for failure is the lack of DECISION (and commitment). It's not wishful thinking, but strong
desire. Express your desired outcome in the present tense - in the positive.
Write down on a 3 X 5 card 10 things you most desire in life.

5. VISION (+ IMAGINATION) is tremendously powerful. " Imagination is more important than knowledge."Visualise in your mind what you want to receive.
Once you've seen it in the mind, you'll even believe its possible.

6. The Law of COMMAND.

"Thou shalt desire (deem) a thing and it shall be so." So speak what you want to happen (into existence). Watch what you say... because what you speak out of your mouth will happen to you. The words we use to ourselves are vital in shaping our attitudes (mindsets). So be careful what you say to yourself (especially negative self talk/chatter); as it might just happen - it usually does! "Speak" desired events, ocurrences and outcomes "into existence".

"Things will come to those who wait, but faster to those who hustle."

Then comes "lucky seven"

7. The Law of Love: Give and you will surely receive. It really works!

"The more I work at this law, the more I face the delight in life, the delight in the scheme of the universe. It gives me a peace and a meaning of the mysteries of nature that I have no power to describe."
- Mahatma Gandhi

"I will make love my greatest weapon and none on who I call can defend upon its force...My love will melt all hearts liken to the sun whose rays soften the
coldest day."
- Og Mandino

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.- Martin Luther King, Jr (1929-1968, American Black Leader, Nobel Prize Winner, 1964)

NB:
8. ACTION - Do it NOW. Don't wait for the "perfect time", as it never comes. Put the plan into place right away, by taking that small first step... then thenext will reveal itself to you. (As the ancient Chinese proverb says: "The journey of a thousand miles starts
with a single step.")

"In action is thought made material, ie changed into something physical" - my good friend, Dr Andy Eastcott, former micro-biologist.
Andy elaborates further:
"The spark to ignite a creative force is confident purposeful thought.
For this force to burst into burning flame, positive ACTION is essential.
Confident purposeful thought is the spark that ignites a creative force."

9. SELF DISCIPLINE: "Do what needs to be done, whether you like it or not."

10. PERSISTANCE: Say "I will...until".Nothing is impossible, if you earnestly desire it and work hard at achieving your dreams.

N.B:
11. BELIEF:"Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you HAVE received it and it will be yours."
- Mark 11:24

12. TRUST the process. Just BELIEVE in the above principles and in your journey, your unique path down the "river of life".
"Believe and you will achieve.""With faith all things are possible."

And finally,

"another lucky" 13.
A change in thinking and actions fueled by emotion, passion and especially tinged with a large helping of FAITH, I believe, is the key to success in any endeavour we may choose.
You can only be as BIG as your thoughts... and you can never rise higher than your thoughts..

As Johan Wolfgang von Goethe, the German philosopher said:"Whatever the mind can conceive, can be achieved."

We can just do our very best. So it's up to each ONE of us to do just what one person can do to make a difference, a better world.

Shine your own bright light on humanity and have great FUN along your journey oflife.

Craig Lock (as he slides down the 'razor-blade of life')
("Information and Inspiration Distributor, Incorrigible Encourager and
People-builder")

"Success lies in the journey of becoming the person you really want to be... and become."

"Be the very best person you can be with "loads of" FUN. Become the person you are CAPABLE of being ... and ALL the person God, Our Creator and Ultimate Source intended and CALLED us to become."

"Our talents are our gift to God...but what we do with our talents are our gifts TO God."

"God creates us with different gifts. Each one of us comes into the world with a different collection of life circumstances that often severely challenge us, things that give us joy and in expressing our talents allow us to bless the people, the world around us."

"Together, one mind, one life at a time, let's see how many people we can impact, uplift, empower , encourage and perhaps even inspire to reach their fullest potentials."

THE SENILITY PRAYER

"Lord,
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good
fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference."

"Together, one mind at a time, let's see how many people we can impact and encourage to reach their fullest potentials.Change YOUR world and you help change THE world...for the better"
