Planning to embark on a healthy lifestyle, then start with the baby steps and gradually make it part of your lifestyle.

Many of us wish we lived a healthier way of life and despite the best of our intentions we succumb to the naughty old habits very easily. Experts say that sometimes making small changes is better than trying to take on too much and then not being able to keep up.

According to registered nutritionist Dr Carina Norris, going on a drastic diet can leave us feeling weak and moody because we are depriving ourselves of vital nutrients.
The idea is to "Try to cut down on fatty, nutrient-poor foods, and fill up on nutrient-dense foods such as lean meat and poultry, fish, eggs, low-fat dairy, pulses, nuts and seeds, and plenty of fruit and vegetables."

Portions should be small, so start by reducing our intake and eating a little less than you would normally. Drinking water is paramount, but star by increasing a glass a day and trying to at least have about 6 glasses of water in a day. The better idea is to leave a glass bottle of water on your desk and sip throughout the day. Substitute snack cravings with healthier snacks like some baked soybeans or a clutch of nuts.
Certain oils can be replaced in your diet by healthier ones. Virgin coconut oil in your diet could provide the fatty acids required to boost metabolism and aid weight loss , although there is not enough evidence to say this for sure.

Organic Avocado oil is also healthier cooking oil as its Rapeseed oil. Generally though organic superfood supplements and herbal extracts are a good way to supplement your diet too.
Many people, who embark on a healthy lifestyle tend to also opt for natural skin and hair care products. Health and beauty products in the UK now include a huge sector or organic health and beauty . Just as many of us tend to buy organic fruits and vegetables, many also choose organic products to look after their bodies.

Eating well, including vegetables and fruits in your diet, drinking water and exercising are some of the key components of living a healthy life. So start by making the small steps and when you feel like a bag of crisps reach out for a healthier snack. If you can avoid taking the bus and walk to the station instead. Try and make sure you stay hydrated and reduce alcohol and the red meats in your diet. These small changes can go a long way too.
