What is a problem? It is anything that is real or it can be imagined that becomes an obstacle. It is anything that is halting the forward progress to reaching the goals. Take the fear of public speaking and when thought about much of that fear is false. The fear of being judged by the audience when almost always the audience is very supportive. But when a problem occurs, what do you do?

It can be frustrating but problems occur everyday. They come in different degrees from some barely noticable to ones that feel like the place is coming apart. First no matter what the degree, except for a life threatening emergency, take a few moments and evaluate the situation. Think about what it will take to correct the situation. Make a plan of action thinking of the people needed to get this back on the right track. Put the plan into action. Doing this did not take a lot of time in most cases. The problem will now be dealt with without a showing of alot of emotion because there is a plan. It can be discovered later what went wrong and then procedures put in place so it does not happen again. Foremost thought the customer was taken care of first.

If there were not problems to deal with at work there really would be no need to have the people there to correct these. It is the thinking and corrective actions that make humans so valuable. Next time there is a problem just think of it as a challenge. Think of it as showing how much you care about the customers.
