The creative process is advanced in the direction we desire - or not - by the power of our words. Words energize our thoughts. Words are our thoughts spoken out loud; they set the trajectory for our thoughts. They are one step closer to determining the actions we take. Guard your thoughts; they lead to words. Words breathe life or limitation into your experiences. They can inspire or they can destroy. So here's a question:

What is your internal conversation?

Does your internal conversation support you? Is it helping you to expand the vision for your life, or is it keeping you stuck?

Are you more compassionate or more judgmental based upon the chatter in your mind?

Do you realize that the internal conversation that you are listening to is not 'objective'? Rather, it is a cellular memory old tape. And you can ultimately change this script?

Given the fact that our brain and mind have over time picked up the attitudes, beliefs, and values of those around us, when was the last time you questioned your own self-talk? If your mental chatter is creating stress or damaging your confidence, do you realize that you have the power to 'upgrade' this mental memory?

One major obstacle to innovation is that people can self-talk themselves right out of new ideas for products and services… and their own self-confidence. Change can be so scary for some because there is a lack of awareness of the creative power of words. We talk our self out of embracing change.

Beginning today, start to pay attention to your words. And remember the ancient proverb that states:

'Life and death is in the power of the tongue'.

Since your brain is listening, you may as well start speaking words that inspire and expand your vision for your life, instead of creating stress and disharmony. Look for love. Why? Because what you focus on expands. Speak to yourself with more compassion and kindness, and you will see more compassion and kindness in your life.

Imagine possibilities and give life to them by speaking words that inspire and energize these ideas, instead of words of doubt and unbelief. Be daring and bold. Speak for what you do want instead of what you don't want. You have the power - the power of your words to create or destroy, to build up or tear down. You can choose. Have you spoken words today that create what you want to see in your life?
