For those of you who don't know, Earth Day 2009 is this Wednesday on April 22.

Here at Intent, one day just isn't enough to celebrate our dear Mother Earth. Starting April 22, we are launching an exclusive 30-day series on how you can green up your life . Not only will you be able to read articles from our Intent Voices on how to green your dinners, beauty self-care and work-outs, you'll also be able to listen in on original podcast interviews with some of the best green environmental activists in the world, participate in green-related quizzes, and check out our very own original green video series!

We are excited to share Intent's "30 Days to a Greener You" with the rest of you, and we can't wait to hear what all of you think!

Of course, greening our planet will require pariticpation from each and every one of us. Which is why for this week's content, we want to ask everyone here on Intent: How can we make our path to wellness more green?

After all, a yoga instructor will have different ideas than say, an ecologist, or a vegan mother of five. That, I believe, is the beauty of becoming more green. Though we all may have our very unique and funky ideas on sustainability and living a more earth-friendly life, all of our ideas converge towards one simple goal that all of us can agree on: creating a healthy planet so our children and our children's children have clean water, fresh air and beautiful nature to enjoy.

Share your green-related ideas with the Intent community this week, and don't forget to categorize your blog posts under "Green." We will be rounding up the best green-related content at the end of the week. For extra green karma, post some pro-earth intents to get the green energy going for the rest of the week! My intent this week is to enjoy at least one beautiful sunset by the ocean this week to remind myself why I need to continue fighting for our dear and only planet Earth.
