‘Your money, or your life; choose’ is a question that you may not think about because you are so busy living, that you forget to stop and think about what you want as a way of life.

You may have landed a job, but have you looked around to see how you feel in this position? It is good for you to be working, but what price do you pay to have this job and this way of life?

Is anyone in your family , (yourself included) suffered because of the sacrifices you have made and are still making?

Over stepping your boundaries

You may be overstepping your boundaries with both your family , and your job. You may not know this because you have become accustomed to doing things a certain way and now you may not question anything. You may find that at the end of the day you are very tired and may be resentful towards your family . Maybe you’re paying too much of a price for this. It is your responsibility to question if what you are doing is working.

Fears of not making it

You may have fears of ‘not making it’ or being unsuccessful. You may put yourself in difficulty with your health by over-working, while forgetting about your needs or your family. This may be due to your fear or being unsafe or insecure financially.

Sleepless nights

You may have sleepless nights because you are worried about your performance at work and what you need to do to secure your position should difficulties arise. You may feel that this means you are ‘doing your best’ and you may have confidence, but you are losing sleep and paying a great price.

Passing your limits

You are so accustomed to passing your limits and pushing yourself more than you can emotionally and physically, that you don’t see this has been a way of life for you. To change this, it would feel as if you’re changing all of you because you have felt that this has been the cornerstone of who you are.

You don’t know how to say no to others when they are passing your limits. You may be afraid to do this because it will mean you are creating boundaries with others and you may fear they’ll turn against you.

Where do you start?

Where do you start to change things around you, when you have been doing things the same way for so long? It does not happen overnight because you will fear the change and revert back to you old patterns.

Creating steps

Creating steps that you can follow, and that don’t demand too much effort to do and you’ll still feel that you are in control of your life.

Look at what you have been doing that has not brought you what you wanted. If you are working too hard, and are not spending time with your family, then this is where you need to start.

Find help with someone in finance to help you manage your money so it works for you, instead of you always having to work for it.

The first step is making sure your boundaries are clear with yourself and others in small, non-threatening ways.

Conclusion: When you think about your money or your life choices, you may realize that it’s time for a wake up call. It’s time to take action and change how you do things to earn a living, and establish your true priorities.
