There are times in our lives where we don’t think we can do something but we go ahead and do it because we have to or we really want to. We step out in blind faith and attempt whatever it is and find out it wasn’t as bad as we thought it would be. We had been putting it off thinking it was going to be too hard or we didn’t have all we needed to complete the task; however, after we started we found out it wasn’t as hard as we thought.

There are other times when there are things to be done we really don’t want to do but we know we need to do them. There are things we have responsibilities to do and we tend to put them off because we don’t believe we have enough money, time or abilities. Rather than waiting until the last minute when what we need to do turns in to what we have to do because we have continued to put it off, we need to step out in faith and begin. Not blind faith , but faith in God.

Hebrews 1:33-35 “By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions, quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight. Women received their loved ones back again from death .”

We tend to put things off because we don’t think we have the talent time or money. We find excuse after excuse why we shouldn’t do what we need to do today. We say we will wait one more week. We say we will wait until we have read the book on how to do it. We say we will wait until we have the funds to do it all the way through. We say we will wait until we can start at the beginning of the week, or month or year.

We may think we can't, but we can. We would be surprise how God can give us strength and abilities to do what He has asked us to do. For most things to be accomplished it only take persistence and deciding to never give up. When we continue on, faithfully, day by day and consistently, God will give us the strength and abilities we need to complete the tasks He wants us to do.

We may think we don't have time, but we do. We would be surprise how God can give lengthen our time. If we will only get started, God will take our time and ensure we do just what He wants us to do. We can start out giving 15 minutes a day to a particular task and God will use that time and begin to multiply it so we can give more time to it if that is His will.

We may think we need money, but we don't. We would be surprise how God can give us the money we need to do His will. We can start out doing what we can do without the money. We can start out taking a small part of our own money and using it to begin. Then when we step out in faith, God will increase our money so we are able to do more to glorify Him.

Faith and prayer are what we need to complete any task, large or small. Starting out with prayer asking God for direction will be the turning point to allow us to finish the things we need to do. Starting out with prayer asking God to let us know if we are doing what He wants us to do will be the turning point for us to be sure we are doing His will. Stepping out in faith will be the action He wants us to take.

You would be surprised what God can do if you would just step out and start believing in Him. He will take over and finish what we have long been putting off. He will give us the resources we need when we need them even if we can’t see them when we get started. He will take something that is just a thought and create a masterpiece. Our first step is faith and prayer. Then He will use our first step to make a difference.

Hebrews 1:11 “ Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”
