TikTok was recently bashed by U.S. Republican presidential nominees.

They all plan on banning TikTok if elected president.

They say TikTok poses a threat to our youth and cite concerns over national security.

The state of Montana has already banned TikTok in the coming year.

I maintain TikTok is sorely needed and any concerns over national security is unfounded.

First, TikTok can't be a security threat. TikTok values privacy. For instance, if you take a screenshot of someone's TikTok video, TikTok won't notify the video maker. For more information see https://www.mostlyblogging.com/does-tiktok-notify-when-you-screen-record/ .

Next, Republican presidential nominees fear TikTok giving China the U.S. data since TikTok is a Chinese app. However, TikTok doesn't even require that you sign up for the app. You can download TikTok videos without an account. For more information, see https://www.mostlyblogging.com/save-tiktok-without-posting/ .

TikTok is easy to use. For instance, you can video yourself dancing without holding the record button. Dancers are born as stars on TikTok this way. For directions, see https://www.mostlyblogging.com/how-to-record-on-tiktok-without-holding-t... .

Also, TikTok is entertaining. I love watching cute dog videos and TikTok comedians bring viewers hours of laughter. See this list of TikTok comedians if you want hours of chuckles: https://www.mostlyblogging.com/tiktok-comedians-list/ .

Regarding concerns over the youth being hurt by TikTok, many teachers post science experiments that motivate young people to want to do science experiments. TikTok is educational in this way. Many teachers use TikTok to engage and reach students.

Closing
In closing, there are many advantages of TikTok that make it worth keeping. See https://www.mostlyblogging.com/advantages-and-disadvantages-of-tiktok/ for more advantages and even disadvantages since these just scratched the surface.

For the reasons stated, TikTok is fun, easy, and educational and should not be banned in the United States of America.
