Liberation can be attained only from the human life form...
There is no other life-form besides the human that has the privilege of being granted the right to ultimate liberation (moksha). Of the four life-forms namely, animal kingdom, hell, heaven and the human form, it is only through the human form that one becomes eligible to attain liberation from the cycle of birth and death - such is the law of Nature!

The Journey of the Soul from complete bondage to ultimate liberation…

Just like a new-born, after taking birth, grows into an adult, and only later develops into a mature elderly person; similarly, a living being too begins its journey in this world as a one-sensed human being, and evolves from one sensed to two-sensed living being, from two-sensed to three-sensed living being, from three-sensed to four-sensed, and four-sensed to a five-sensed living being. And finally, the living being develops into human form, where along with the five senses, one’s mind, intellect and ego also have developed.

Every living being, starting from the single sensory life-form to the five sensory life-form, experiences enormous suffering owing to the bondage of coverings on the Soul. Many coverings get shed while the development of living being is taking place. Yet, if human beings with their five senses have to suffer so much, we can imagine what kind of suffering the living beings with lesser senses may be going through?

For example, let us compare this suffering to that caused to a prisoner in a dark jail. In that case:

●The human life is comparatively an easier form of imprisonment.

●Trees and animals are life forms subject to severe imprisonment.

●Hell is like severe life imprisonment. Life in hell is so excruciatingly painful that if one were to describe it exactly, a human being would die of fear by just listening to it. It is thousand times more painful than the pain of being boiled in water. Those in hell are subject to the pain of near death experience over and over again and yet death will elude them. They are doomed to a life of suffering and that is why death does not come to them until their punishment ends. Their physical body is like liquid mercury; their body parts and limbs are subject to being severed and joined together again. Therefore, they do not die; they have no choice but to suffer the pain.

●The celestial beings enjoy thoroughly in the celestial world, but they too cannot achieve liberation. It is because the atmosphere there is so dazzling and intoxicating that one’s all senses could get completely lost, absorbed and indulged into that environment. The food tastes great and is pleasing to the palate; the music one hears is very pleasing to ears; eyes can’t stop admiring the beauty around; and the sense of smell is filled with fragrant incense. The happiness enjoyed by the celestial beings is in such abundance that it becomes extremely difficult to remember our Soul at times like this.

Moreover where there’s materialistic happiness, there’s bound to be mental restlessness, jealousy and other emotions that torment – they are like two sides of a coin! Therefore, the developed celestial beings too actually wish for a birth as a human being in this world, to a moral and a pious family , so that they too can meet a Gnani Purush, the Enlightened One, and attain liberation.

Hence, human life is the only one where one can remember the Soul and think of liberation…Through the entire evolution process, in every life form that one assumes, the living being remains totally ignorant of the fact that its real Self is the ‘Pure Soul’, and not the ‘body’ which it has assumed for this particular life only. The dense coverings over the Soul lead to such ignorance of the Self. While the light of knowledge (Soul) results in eternal bliss, the darkness of ignorance (coverings) yields enormous suffering.

Owing to this ignorance, one binds new causes, as a result of which one has to take a rebirth, in order to suffer the effects of the bound causes. And while suffering these effects, owing to ignorance, one once again binds new causes. Thus, life after life, one keeps wandering from one life-form to another, binding more and more causes and suffering more and more effects. Only after meeting a Living Gnani Purush can one break free, otherwise one is doomed to wander between the four different life forms!!!

When we meet Gnani Purush, he takes away our interest in the world and places it in the Supreme Soul, which is our real Self, in about less than an hour’s time (through Akram Vignan). When He does this, we come into the awareness of the Self. Once this happens, we shall no longer be creating any new causes.

Therefore, Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan says, “This human body has been acquired with great difficulty. So use it to accomplish your work. The Soul has spent endless births to acquire this human body.”

Accomplishing our work means to attain ultimate liberation. And this liberation demands Self-Realization, which is presently being bestowed upon by Pujya Deepakbhai Desai, The Enlightened One!!! You can avail of further details, if you like, at https://www.dadabhagwan.org/

Author's Bio:

Ambalal M. Patel was a civil contractor by profession. In June 1958, spontaneous Self-Realization occurred within Ambalal M. Patel. From this point on, Ambalal became a Gnani Purush, and the Lord that manifest within him became known as Dada Bhagwan. A Gnani Purush is One who has realized the Self and is able help others do the same. Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan used to go from town to town and country-to-country to give satsang (spiritual discourse) and impart the knowledge of the Self, as well as knowledge of harmonious worldly interactions to everyone who came to meet him. This spiritual science, known as Akram Vignan, is the step-less path to Self-realization.
