As a child, one is sent to the best school available, in order to get education. There, he learns to read and write, he learns maths and science, etc. He appears for exams, passes grade after grade; and one day, he receives an education degree in his hand.

What does one really gain out of all this; why is good education important?...

This is one of the most common questions that arise in the little minds, who feel greatly pressurized under the burden of education?

Come, let’s try to address this question today…
Education means a learning process through which we acquire knowledge.

Mere reading and memorizing theory notes does not actually culminate into knowledge. Education does not at all mean stuffing one’s mind, it means cultivating the mind.

Knowledge is power; and a cultivated mind makes effective use of this power by applying it to solve problems. This is what good education is for.

Good education:
·Provides a learning environment. Just by staying in this environment, one effortlessly learns lot of important lessons of life.

·Broadens our horizons of thinking. It makes us smart and intelligent enabling us to explore new things and be the change that we aspire.

·Helps us secure a good job that allows us to financially support us and our family well.

·Prepares us intellectually to manage problem-solving and living well with others.

·Our ability to reason and judge gets sharper, which helps us make good decisions.

·Good manners, good language, civilized behavior are a natural outcome of education.Intelligence plus character is the goal of good education.

Good education also:

·Teaches us how to bond and respond to people by imbibing lessons of kindness and friendship , compassion and empathy in our personality.

·Enables promotion of values, virtues, ethics, wisdom , attitudes and behaviors, that results in a strong and fulfilling character.

·Aims at keeping us positive, moral and resilient even during testing times.

·Cultivates in us the intentions, feelings and habits of right conduct. eg. it brings about in us the basic commitment to not kill or cause harm to any living being, not to steal, lie or cheat, to treating others fairly, to keep our promises, to help people in need.
Good education helps us grow as ‘Leaders of Life’ in the society.

Good education is the key to student’s growth. However, it can happen only when, to the teacher:

•The student is important and not completing the curriculum; when he puts in all his efforts and strives to gently steer even the weakest of the student to come at par with others.

•The focus is on nurturing the child with love, such that s/he is able to fulfil his/her goal of life, s/he never gets depressed in any situation, is able to solve any problem with patience and confidence and over the time grooms into an altruistic, empathetic and kind human being.

•Students cannot be left to themselves for learning how to cope with life’s challenges; how to relate with others amicably.

•Good education received from such dedicated teachers transforms us into a good child, good spouse, good parent, good citizen and above all a good human being.

Education is hence a means that empowers people to transform societies for progress of mankind. However if the outcome is otherwise i.e. arrogance and anger, selfishness and deceit prevail in full form in the daily dealings in people’s life, know that the good education has to reach there yet.

Real Education

A teacher is as good as his knowledge is!Then, how about the teacher who has the ultimate knowledge? Yes, ‘Gnani’ is the One in whom the ultimate knowledge of the Self has manifested.

Gnani graciously imparts to the seekers around the world, the real education regarding our own existence - i.e. Really, who am I? what is my religion ? what is my real goal in life? How can I be genuinely helpful to others?

Whosoever is interested in receiving this real education, Gnani sows the seed of the knowledge of the Self in him, nurtures and protects the seed, such that his darkness of ignorance leaves forever. This is the final education wherein Gnani takes away all our fear and greed, our misery and grief .

Gnani has tremendous energy that influences one and all, not only to progress on the path of one’s own liberation, but also become an instrument of salvation for others too. With the help of practical daily life examples, Gnani explains how to conduct our life such that new karmas (new sufferings) do not get charged; and teaches us how to spread peace , happiness and harmony in others’ life too, to make this world a better place to live in!!
