This is a very frequently asked questions by Vapers around the world who are either looking to use their vape juice economically or wish to produce more and more vapor and dense clouds. Let us try to address this question in detail and find out the ideal combination of VG and PG for varied needs:

PG:VG RATIO
For Long Lasting E Liquid - 50:50
Smaller, local Vape shops would tell you to go ahead with a 50/50 proportion and the primary reason is that their flavor concentrates are synthetic and of low quality and generally need more PG to disintegrate. VG and PG in such e liquid is also of inferior quality and the glycerin has a peculiar stench and a lingering flavor and thus more PG is required to counter that.

While a vape juice with 50:50 ratio of VG and PG might last slightly longer, it carries a substandard taste and overall experience is nothing great as the forming of vapor is very less while the throat hit is stronger.

It’s no coincidence that this is the ratio used typically in E Cigarettes, as the air flow in such devices is very limited and almost non-existent and they vaporize at a relatively low temperature and resultantly produces almost no vapor. Choose this combination only if you’re looking forward to use your vape juice very economically and a sub-par experience is what you wouldn’t mind.

The Ideal Balance - 60:40 For Vape devices ranging from about 20W to around 40W, a 60:40 ratio is the most ideal blend possible. It provides a balanced throat hit, is smooth enough to work with restricted air flow and yet, it is viscous enough for coils being fired at a temperature up to 40Watts.

This blend masks the sweet backdrop of glycerin almost completely. If you have an intermediary device, go ahead with this combination and you’d get a perfectly balanced vaping experience.

Advanced Devices - 70:30 For gadgets that are powered by a coil being fired at above 40 Watts, a 70:30 ratio could be superior as the consistency of the e liquid will keep it from going through the coil opening as it starts to get hot inside the tank. The change however isn’t distinctly noticeable below 50 Watts of power

Above that, you’d notice a clear distinction in cloud thickness. The mist produced will be noticeably denser at this stage. So, if you possess an advanced mod, do try out the e liquid with 70:30 VG/PG ratio and you’d definitely appreciate the experience.

Cutting-Edge Devices - 80:20
A 80:20 blend is used as a part of drippers which are essentially used by advanced Vapers using cutting edge devices performing at extremely high power. The only thing that matters here is the density of clouds and not the smoothness or the economical usage of e liquid at all. So, if dense vapor is your only concern, go ahead with the 80:20 blend. It won’t last very long but those clouds would be worth it, wouldn’t they?
