"It's what I am here to do!" she blurted and tears gushed forth.

This was 'Sarah', a client sharing a moment of acknowledgment that she finally knew what she wanted to do with her life. In that instant she accepted she could speak her truth about her soul purpose - not her parents', not her siblings', not her friends' view of who she is and what she is capable of. This is her life. She was owning it.

No easy thing either - she has closed a business and staked everything on a new venture. The unknown looms ahead and all she can do is trust that as she takes one step over the abyss that the bridge appears beneath.

But the deliciousness of living your purpose - what you love to do and feel fabulous about - is the sweetest, juiciest, munchable feeling ever. The fact that the outcome is unknown is irrelevant - the delicious unfolding of navigating your course by your inner compass, discovering the path as you go, is what we've all come here to do.

So are you doing it? Are you following your heart's dream? Are you nurturing the seeds of your vision through its tender sprouts of new beginnings?

Or have you placed it quietly on the back shelf for contemplation from time to time - remaining a wish, a hope, a wistful longing...

I bring this up because I am also holding myself to account. Since I started my business in 2002 I've always intended to run personal development programs in the wilderness - blending my talents of outdoor leadership and self-knowledge teaching into one powerful medium for self-growth. I've also had a picture in my head of a team of facilitators and a beautiful headquarters for retreats on the coast. I see books and resources being published. I see meditation and yoga classes. I see powerful workshops with hundreds of happy, engaged, and empowered people.

And that's where it's stopped - as an idea on a piece of paper.

I've had a few tentative explorations of various versions of this dream, but retreated like a crab into something more 'safe'. My dream seemed too big for little ole me.

And that's when I realised this isn't about 'me' -the small ego 'me' - but Me - the real me - the soul part of me who feels the need to share inner wisdom in a purposeful way with large audiences. I do my best work with people face to face. I inspire and support in a transformative way when people are near me. When I am with groups, I am at my best. It's what I am here to do.

So knowing this, what have I done with my dream?

Following my own advice I have done the inner work of transforming my beliefs about what is possible, what I deserve, and my own inner worth. The process of how to prepare yourself for your purpose unfolding is captured in my favourite program, The Three Pillars of Personal Power.

And then I took action to demonstrate and prove trust in my dream's unfolding.

That part is both scary and easy at the same time. If I do my best work with groups, I'd better create the opportunity to do so! I've booked two workshops for you - one online and one live. And I've booked a beach retreat. I'm starting small - baby steps. I am calling in the perfect participants for each of these events - willing learners and eager contributors who want to participate in their own personal transformation and evolution in a fun and intimate way with a group of like-minded funky people. I hope you'll be one of those people!

The biggest part of my dream - to run wilderness expeditions - has also been nudged too. I've looked into the Nahanni river trips as a starting place. I have wanted to paddle this incredible north Canadian river for years. Dream coming true. First step - ordered the trip catalogue!

So what is it that you want, Claire? What dream have you got sitting waiting for you to plant and water? You can be it, do it, become it! You just need to believe, and then take action.

Coach's Challenge: Dust off that dream, take a good long look at it, and see if it still holds a longing for you. What would the end of your life be like if you didn't have a crack at it? If there is a tug for you, it's time to do the heart work for it, and then take some action for it. Baby steps, Claire, baby steps.
