Have you ever asked yourself, “What am I doing all this for? Why is life such a struggle? What am I accomplishing?’”

I am fascinated by life after life accounts. I’ve read a multitude of books written by reputable spiritual mediums and have attended their seminars. I have personally communicated with loved ones that have crossed over. As far as I’m concerned, there is not a shadow of a doubt that our life continues after we leave here. We are souls housed within a human body.

It is said that only the bravest souls make the choice to come to Earth school. Our ultimate spiritual, eternal goal is the growth of our souls. The most accelarated spiritual growth is gained while we’re in these Earthly bodies. Yes, some of us have chosen to take on monumental challenges in this life, but it was a well thought out, carefully calculated plan that we chose when we were living in the spiritual realm; a place with no negativity and hardships. Each challenge was chosen with an eternal purpose in mind.

Many people have said to me, “That’s impossible, I would have never chosen this life!” The truth is that you did make this choice because buried deep inside this earthly facade, you are a remarkable, courageous, highly motivated soul. We are not in touch with those thoughts because our past memories have been blocked to prevent interference in the completion of our mission. But each of us possesses the utmost ability to face, handle, and overcome our challenges; impossible as it may seem.

We each are fulfilling a contract we have made with ourselves. To breach that contract is self-destructive. We have everything to gain or everything to lose; the choice is ours. Life is eternal and our growth is eternal; we forever reap the rewards of our efforts. That is what motivates me to constantly grow and evolve. It’s what gives me the courage to keep putting one foot in front of the other, even when I can’t see where I am going.

Life does not end here. It is merely a brief segment of our eternal life, just as schooling is only a portion of our human life. It is to each of our advantages to continue to learn, achieve, and grow; achievements that often go hand and hand with adversity. As impossible as it may seem at times, adversity is the catalyst that speeds up our growth.

It may seem as if all this is selfish, but it’s exactly the opposite. To grow we must share and care; break down our barriers. The purest love is given and received when we are spiritually aware. There is a domino effect; what we achieve with ourselves ultimately benefits everybody else.

The next time that you question your purpose, remind yourself that you are an eternal being and your purpose is greater than you can ever fathom.

Much love,
