Tom Group is the media conglomerate controlled by Li Ka-shing. It is said that it will cooperate with China Post to pour their joint venture into the mainland's e-commerce infrastructure services provider for online retailers.

Beijing Ule E-Commerce is the venture that Tom and China Post set up in 2010 and it has integrated many resources and services.

With the resources of China Post, Ule is capable of becoming the ultimate service provider for all e-commerce players on the mainland.

The chief executive expressed that they are providing the entire infrastructure - e-commerce system, online and off-line store integration, distribution and logistics, as well as marketing and promotion.

The move is welcome as it is encouraging more merchants to tap the mainland's growing online retail market.

The mainland postal service has a network of 46,000 post office s, 150,000 postal workers, 36,000 Postal Savings Bank branches, 56,000 delivery vehicles and 17 aircraft.

Tom is providing the information-technology system with a cloud-computing platform, where a merchant can connect to the internet and instantly set up an online retail operation.With large and diversified resources, Ule E-Commerce will lure more customers via tailor-made services for different customers.
