My name is Monica and I am 24. Looking back at how much I've changed in the last couple of years, I understood it was not about maturing, but actually about me becoming a cam girl. This job, which I first minimized, thinking it was easy and even quite embarrassing, has fundamentally changed me for the better, both inside and out.
Actually, this is why I decided to write this story. To encourage other young women who think of becoming cam girls and to help them understand what it's all about. The first and most important thing they have to acknowledge is that this job is not about sex. It is about much more: communication, empathy and becoming a better person, to know how to help those around you.
I first thought of becoming a cam girl when a good friend of my, Pam, two years younger than me, told me how much money she makes from this activity. I was making about 7 times less at that time and, thinking I was prettier and wittier than her, not to mention more experienced, I decided to give it a go. My luck was called Studio 20, the biggest agency in the world. Working with them for over two years now, I understood how wrong I was in the beginning and how much this job helped me on a personal level.
Even though this might sound counterintuitive or utterly ridiculous, becoming a cam girl helped me become a better human being. You can't understand this if you don't work in this field, this is why I've decided to write this article in which I express my feelings. My job consists of talking to members and making them feel less lonely, understanding them and being supportive.
You have to keep in mind that members don't necessarily search for nudity, especially on our site, which is a premium and non-adult one. What they do search for is a companion, a confidant, someone to talk to and share their biggest secrets, fantasies and fears to. We are talking about lonely people, sometimes depressed, who find a refuge in these conversations. So becoming a cam girl is more about communicating then undressing. This is one of the most important lessons I've learned, which has fundamentally changed me.
Becoming a cam girl made me listen. Before that, as a young girl in my early 20s, I thought I knew everything, so I never listened to what people told me, I thought I knew better. But after just a few months at this agency, I understood how important listening is and how important feedback is. By listening to the other one and adjusting your message accordingly, you discover a new world. A new world of mutual communication, which brings joy to the soul, happiness and inner peace .
Last but not least, becoming a cam girl helped me develop better relationships outside work as well: with colleagues, friends, and family . All in all, I think I am a better person, not to mention richer and with a higher social status. And you can be the same in no time at all. I can't wait to meet you!
