Oh boy, I did learn a valuable lesson when it comes to sports! Teenage behavior in sports may be bad or good. If it is bad, then teenagers must be misbehaving while playing. And, today I'm telling you the bad habits that some teenagers have in sports. Many people love to play all kinds of sports. No matter what type of sport you play, you need to develop good habits to be a true sportsman or sportswoman. If you don't, then you'll not perform well as you ought to. You'll be hurt just because of your bad behavior in sports .

First, you need to have a body that is healthy in order to achieve outstanding performance in sports. Doping is a bad habit that should not be allowed in sports. Bad teenage behavior in sports like drinking alcohol, taking drugs and smoking cigarettes are not healthy. Smoking cigarettes robs teenagers the average total lung capacity they need and this leaves them gasping for breath. This in turn will decrease their performance.

On the other hand, alcohol dehydrates them and interferes with the coordination of the various parts of the body. Alcohol remains to be the most abused substance by teenage athletes compared to other drugs. Alcohol has a negative effect on the mind and the body.

Another teenage behavior that affects sports is staying up late thus not getting enough sleep. This means that the body is not allowed to recover the lost energy. So, when teenage athletes don't go to bed early and instead get themselves in performing various activities, their bodies get exhausted and this leads to fatigue. Their performance will be greatly affected as a result of them being fatigued.

Some teenagers have the bad behavior in sports by not training early enough in order to prepare themselves well to play with other teams. They'll get to the field to play and expect to win after staying for weeks or months without having practiced. This leads to physical injury and physical exhaustion. It is highly recommended that teenagers who want to play and compete with other teams to be in good shape by exercising regularly. Most professional athletes realize the importance of warming up before playing. However, a lot of amateur teenage athletes have the bad behavior of not stretching and warming up their muscles before playing.

Not using the proper equipments is another bad teenage behavior in sports. Professional athletes would never think of going to the field without proper equipments. In fact, NFL football players could even be fined for not wearing protective equipments. Some teenagers may even go for looks when they're choosing playing equipments forgetting that they need to select the right equipments that are of good quality.

Some teenagers have a bad behavior in sports when they don't accept defeat. To be a good sportsman or sportswoman, one must accept defeat because in every game there will be a winner and a loser.

The bad habit that some teenagers have in sports may end up ruining the whole team. Many games are all about teamwork. There should be no room for a player to steal glory as an individual. Working together as one team allows players to accomplish excellent results.

Sports can be a good way of spending your free time like weekends or a way to earn a living. Either way, as a teenager you should have good habits in order to be successful in sports. Leave your bad habits and be the best you can be when playing.
