One thing I want you to know about success and it is the truth; success never comes to late, so long as it comes during your lifetime. Please do not go off thinking about how old you might be, or what your station in life might be some time into the future. Your success will not be diminished. You will have the ability, whether it is mental, physical or spiritual, to appreciate your own success, regardless of when they come. You will always be older and wiser tomorrow than you are today and with the age and wisdom comes a contemporaneus appreciation for future 'Nows" and all that will be going on in your life at the time.

Here is an example of what I am talking about. It was newsworthy to tell the story of a woman, well into her sixties, who had gone back to school to get a Law degree. She spoke about how happy she felt and that the sense of accomplishment gave her a new outlook on life. Is she talking about her entire life, of course she is? Tell me, is it not what life is really all about, a fresh sense of 'being' in the 'present living moment'?

Here is another example. A seventy-three-year old woman won a multi-million dollar lottery. She was overjoyed that now she could put her grandchildren through college, give to her favorite charities and cover her last years of care so as not to burden her family . Just imagine what that woman's last years will be like. Now, this kind of success is not the kind that required some specific plan or effort. It was simply success in the form of good fortune.

So you see, success never comes too late. "Time" aside, remain mindful that you have 'life' now to do 'something'. How about starting your own small on-line business or writing that book you always wanted to write. Think about it.

For those who are not concerned with age, let me offer my own thinking about success. I hope that one or more of my thoughts may inspire you. Here is a quote. "Understand that long-term goals can seem monumental if you lose sight of the 'now'. So only do, now, what can and needs to be done, and before you konw it, you will actually be living your dream as the 'future' becomes your 'present'."

However, before you begin, you should have a plan. Here is a thought. "A plan, like a map, is a written instrument used to get you from where you are now, to where you would like to be some 'now' into the future. Without one, only God know where you will end up". Furthermore, "all your plans must die if your dreams are to live. But, for plans to die, they must be executed". Meanwhile, be persistent yet be patient, for "patience is what flavors the pursuit of success".

Now, "to reason that each of us is unique is to reason that each of us now possess at least one gift or talent. However, that gift or talent is exclusively reserved for those who purposefully seek it out. Some find succes this way. Still, not everyone believes that they possess a gift or talent and so do not have reason to seek it out. Even so, keep in mind that there never was, and there never will be anyone better than you at being 'you'; you're already the best".

Sometimes, even having done everything we set out to do to achieve success, we still fail. There could be a number of reasons why, beginning with those we have no control over.It could also be because, as I believe, "attaining many things in life is easier than actually making the committment to attain them".Often enough, a lack of committment is what causes failure. In reality, failing is bad enough, but your perception of a failure could be worse. You could end up being mentally and or spiritually paralyzed by the trauma of failure. Think of failure this way. "Failure is nothiong more than a temporary experience. It is not a permanent condition or a terminal disease. Expereince it and then let it go; survive it and try again. Nothing scares away failure like another try. Nothing is more attractive to success than courage".

Meanwhile, the quality of the life you now live as you pursue your goal should be much more meaningful and satisfying than actually achieving your goal. Think of it this way. "The thrill lives in the hunt, but dies with the kill. The thrill is the life you are living right here, right now. The hunt is about making the most of life now and the kill is the goal acheived and the reset of another goal".

One last thing I have to say about success is this:"When two people come together to work on an idea, three minds are present; yours, mine and the fusion of ours". This is to say that things get done simply because someone believed in the "Self" and in someone else and when both believe, creative ideas and solutions are born. These ideas and solutions are not orphans but fruits of the minds of those who come together to think. This kind of beleif can be transmissible by leaders who know how to capture the imagination of the minds of those they lead and thereby harnessing their cooperation for a specific purpose. Imagine three minds. Imagine the exponent of the minds of 300.
