As you sow, so shall you reap.

I’m sure you’ve heard this statement at one point or another in your life. Have you ever really thought about it though? Look at this way. Right now, in your life, you’re reaping and harvesting things you’ve sown in the past. So, we’ve actually created our lives to be exactly the way they are today.

Now, I realize this might sting. Reason being, we might be thinking that our lives aren’t the way we would like for them to be. We might rather be more wealthy, more healthy, or involved in deeper more meaningful relationships. So, once again this may sting. We may want to pass blame onto other things such as circumstances, other people, the economy, anything – as long as its not ourselves, right? But, the fact of the matter is that this is a GOOD thing. It’s a good thing because, if we take responsibility, we hold the power. And knowing that we hold the power, we can create that better life that we desire so much.

So, just to back up a minute and talk about us creating our current lives. You see, our thoughts, feelings and actions are the seeds we sow. And from those seeds we reap LIKE results. A kernel of corn produces guess what…you got it, corn. Just like wheat is going to produce wheat. A seed produces after it’s own kind. So, know that I can’t plant a kernel of corn and end up with soybeans, you know what I mean. In the same sense, our outer world is just a reflection of our inner world.

Now, look at your life. Know that what you’re reaping is exactly just what you’ve sown in the past through your thoughts, feelings and actions. You can’t be broke without having thoughts centered around poverty and scarcity. You see, your mind is just like the soil. What you give it, it will give right back to you. So, the point here and the million dollar question is, what type of seeds are you planting?

Are you planting seeds of love, generosity, service, truth, belief, kindness, abundance, gratitude, appreciation, confidence, happiness, purpose, productivity , knowledge, praise, commitment and enthusiasm? If so, guess what you’re going to reap…corn. Just joking, you’ll reap love and generosity and the whole nine yards, respectively.

So, plant these seeds in your thoughts. Change your thoughts to these. If you’re not happy with where your life is in any area, the key is, completely disregard the result and reality you have now. Don’t focus on that because that’s like looking in the rear view mirror. As I mentioned, the reality you have now is a result of the thoughts you thought some time ago, you’re now just reaping them. You see, the outside world is always playing catch up to match your inner world. So, start afresh. Pay no attention to your current reality and start afresh with new, higher, better thoughts. Think Big new, positive thoughts. Then…Believe Big. Then watch, as you start to reap the benefits of those thoughts. Watch as your reality begins to shift.

All the best,
