The problem with social networking sites is that they have become too social. You can not say FML because of a crappy day at work because you are friends with your boss and three coworkers. You can not complain about how your girlfriend always dresses in a way that makes you want to punch out every guy in the bar and you can't tell her that because you're sure she's the kind of girl that wants that kind of attention. You can not rant about how big a loser your neighbor is because even though his is in his late twenties he still dates high school kids because someone his age is too mature to fall for his crap. So why not go to a site where you don't know anyone, where you do not have friends based on people you have met and interacted with, but strangers who want to listen and read your rants because they think it is entertaining and you may return the favor. It may sound like a crazy idea but think about it, have you ever had a long conversation with someone you just met because you had a topic that was interesting to both of you, even if it was to just vent about your lives? It happens to everyone but the problem with the social networks these days is that there are no more strangers. Go ahead and look at your friends list, unless you are going to pick a completely random person from the other side of the country and hope they respond, everyone knows everyone on there and you cannot feel the freedom of just saying FML online.

That's why you need these free sites where you can vent and rant all you want. Scream F My Life as much as you want, complain about whomever you want and make as much of a deal about the most insignificant things as you want. It will either be seen by no one or complete strangers but at least you are able to vent without any consequences. How many times have you walked into a room full of people and notice two people are people that you hate, two are people you don't trust, and a few others are friends but you know they will tell everyone what you say? It's so aggravating and you just wish there was a safe place to rant and vent and say F My Life. Well there are, you just have to look for them online.
