Christianity is a faith that encourages followers to live peaceably with others and to demonstrate their beliefs in a quiet, but effective, manner. Pushy preaching is reserved for churches and evangelical meetings, but person testimonies of faith can serve as examples and incentives to draw others to Christ. Here are some simple ways to shine the light of faith in non-Christian places.

Look the Part

Christians can fit into the world without buying into suggestive fashion trends that are questionable rather than admirable. The Bible recommends modest clothing that is not too revealing or attention-seeking. A Christian can look stylish and attractive by wearing contemporary styles that are flattering but not extreme. For casual wear, Christian t-shirts offer comfort and flexibility as well as a lowkey way of sharing your faith with a Bible verse or an inspiring image.

Be Friendly and Positive

Without coming across as fake, Christians should be upbeat and friendly with a positive attitude . Instead of complaining about life and the things they don’t have, they can demonstrate gratitude and appreciation for all they have. A healthy work ethic and consistent displays of integrity speak volumes without a word being spoken. Facing trials with grace, dignity, and hope serves as a powerful role model to people in public spaces who lack these faith-based emotional reserves.

Avoid Criticism and Condemnation

All of us get cut off in traffic by aggressive drivers or occasionally shortchanged by a store cashier. Rather than complain and curse the person at fault, a Christian should demonstrate forbearance and patience, understanding that we all fall short at times. When others see this type of response, they will notice that Christians handle conflicts differently than the world does, and they may begin to wonder why, which could lead them to explore Christianity for themselves.

Offer Help and Guidance

Like the Good Samaritan, Christians in public life should be prepared to provide reasonable help when needed by others. Situations will vary according to a Christian’s age and circumstances, and no unnecessary risks should be taken. But when possible, directing someone to a community resource for aid or providing helpful guidance can be life-changing for some people. They may remember the good-natured Christian who helped them out when no one else would, and this might bring them closer to God.You don’t have to use a sales pitch to tell others about your relationship with Jesus. Your physical appearance, personality, and response to others can speak volumes to interest others in the Christian faith.
