Hyderabad is slowly inching towards normalcy as far as realty is concerned. The market here is in recovery mode. There is more demand for commercial real estate spaces than ever before and this is a sign of good things to come for the city which has been through quite an ordeal. The realty sector in the city was making hay while the sun was shining from the early 1990s to about the mid-2000s. For nearly two decades things were going as perfectly as possible for this southern capital. The economy was largely being supported by the Information Technology sector. The state government was ensuring that the infrastructure of the city caught up with the times so that more for the Information Technology sector would look at the city as a viable investment. This seemed to have done the trick.

Hyderabad real estate was growing up leaps and bounds during that period. It could be considered as the golden period for this city. Plots for sale in Hyderabad were fetching a good price. It was creating jobs, infrastructure was on point and the social infrastructure was also quite good. It basically had all the right ingredients which were making it a realty hit.
But things started to go south towards the late-2000s. The agitation surrounding the creation of the state of Telangana took the limelight. Political instability is not something that a city can ride through without expecting some serious repercussions. Investors start doubting the viability of a region if it’s under political turmoil for too long. This is what happened with the capital of Andhra Pradesh.

Companies started shying away from this city and stopped expanding here. Hyderabad real estate started stagnating. Hardly any sales were happening. There were hardly any takers for plots for sale in Hyderabad during this time. Suffice it to say that things were not looking good for the city.

The announcement that the bifurcation was going through made a difference though not immediately nor as quickly as the industry would have liked. It was hoped that recovery would have happened by 2015, but this did not happen. It took about 2 years from the founding of Telangana for things to stabilize in this part of the country.

The state government of Telangana is doing what it can to ensure that the trust that investors lost in the city is being restored. And it seems to be working. Investors old and new are pumping money into the city. This has given the real estate sector here a new lease of life. Though it has touched the pre-Telangana times, it is thankfully on the path of recovery. This in itself is a big deal for the city. There is a visible uptick in demand for commercial realty spaces in the city. This is a good sign of things to come for the city. If it continues on the path it is now, there is no stopping the city from reaching new heights in the days to come.
