A Quick Preamble:

Ok, some people call it a dream chart or a vision chart, or even a vision wall…me, i prefer “Dream Wall”…but it really doesn’t matter what you call it, so long as you have an area that’s covered in reminders of your passions and the places you want to get to, and it’s on display to you everyday.

It doesn’t have to be high-tech perfect, it just needs to work for you…

…mine is very simple…i stuck sheets of A4 paper on the wall and then just stuck pictures and quotes that reflect all my dreams , aspirations and beliefs straight on top of that…things i want to own (hahum i.e. an Aston Martin), another motor cycle (yup, i’m one o’ those), my dream home, places i want to visit, my perfect health condition (my body shape!), my financial position etc.

Cutting To The Chase:

So, have you created your dream wall yet..?

It’s a great way of keeping focused on where you want to be in your future…most especially when it comes to your physical and mental health…i mean, neither you nor i can achieve success and help our loved ones and others in need if illness or bad-health takes us away from the path we need to take…right..?

You may or may not have heard this from the master motivator Zig Ziglar , he says:

“If you aim at nothing, you’ll hit it every time.”

I think that’s pretty succinct, hence i have my dream wall in place so that i can add to it when i want and i can spend a little bit of time checking it out every day, just to re-enforce the answer to my most pressing question – which of course should be yours too:

“What am I aiming at..?”

So, exactly how will a dream wall help you attain all that which you desire..?

The most significant motivation behind your consistent actions, is your subconscious mind…this is because your subconscious mind is what controls all your emotional thoughts and drives…

…and as you probably already know, your behaviours are influenced by the thoughts which carry the strongest emotional charge.

Now, considering this, it ought to be easy to figure out how important it is for you to harness the power of your subconscious mind to fuel your passion and pursue what you really want…including and most especially, when it comes to your good health.

A dream wall really is one of the most powerful tools for doing this.

It’s simple to create and it provides you with powerful visual stimuli that plants “seeds” in your subconscious that are consistent with what you desire the most.

By creating a dream wall and putting it somewhere where you can see it every day, you keep awake the desires in your subconscious mind and these desires will drive you toward all the actions that will help you get what you want or where you want to be, materially, financially and physically.

I can understand if you’re a little skeptical about this, but just think about how much money corporations spend on advertisements which use colours, shapes, words and images to provoke “emotional responses” in people…it works…simple..!

You really must make the voice and the visions of your dreams the loudest and clearest things in your life…if you don’t do this, you’ll be all the more easily influenced by all the advertisements and loud messages around you that only make others richer, stronger…and of course healthier and happier..!

It really all comes down to a choice: You either make a proactive effort to build up the value of your own dreams or you let yourself be influenced by the dreams of others.

A Final Anecdote:

Life is simply just too short to keep building the dreams of other people, while your own dreams and desires are left to smoulder somewhere in the back ground, never to be fully realised…don’t let that happen to you…

…get your Dream Wall or Vision Board or whatever, up and filled with bright and bold representations of your thoughts, dreams and desires and start taking all the necessary steps for achieving all those brightly coloured desires.

To finish this off, i think this short poem – “ Dreams ” by Langston Hughes , is more than appropriate:

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.
