UNESCO has inscribed eight world heritage sites in Sri Lanka.These cultural and historical heritages are situated at many places in Sri Lanka.The ancient city of Polonnaruwa, the ancient city of Sigiriya, the Golden Temple of Dambulla, the old town of Galle and its fortifications, the sacred city of Anuradhapura, the sacred city of Kandy, Sinharaja Forest Reserve and the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka are the eight of them.

Travelers from all over the world are used to visit the cultural heritages in their cultural tours. Ancient city of Polonnaruwais a remarkable locations for a cultural tour. Lot of hotels and lodgings available near the site and travelers can arrange their vacation without any trouble. Ancient city of Polonnaruwa is considered as the second most ancient Kingdom of Sri Lanka. There are lot of historical heritages in Polonnaruwa such as ancient Royal Palace, Temples and monarchs.
