Wanna lose weight? You and thousands of other people out there. What’s the easiest thing you can do about it? Get off your butt! Most people who are overweight , are overweight for a reason. They are overeating or are sedentary, or both. A sedentary lifestyle can quickly lead to excessive weight gain, muscle atrophy, diabetes, heart disease and many other life altering conditions.

The easiest thing you can do for yourself is to get up and start moving. Many people try dieting as a way to lose weight but quickly fail when they cant stick to the plan. Changing your diet takes careful planning, motivation and determination; not that it won’t help you to lose weight. But by moving your body, you increase the blood flow, increase hormone secretion, keep your muscles in shape and burn calories. Overall it boosts your metabolism and your energy levels while you lose weight.

Losing weight can be as easy as taking a walk when you would have normally sat on the couch, or playing outside on a sunny day rather than playing video games. Any activity that isn’t sedentary, gets the body moving and contracts and relaxes the muscles will help you start your weight loss plan. Walking, jogging, running, playing, walking the dog, mowing the grass, vacuuming, etc. are all ways to get your body moving and help you lose weight. Try to start moving in more than 75% of your day. This will help burn more calories to boost your weight loss .

There are several ways to increase your movement throughout your day, for example by parking farther away from your job entrance. Once your body becomes acclimated to any type of physical activity then you can get into more actual workouts such as joining a gym, fitness classes, personal training, and even seeing a nutritionist to start on changing your diet . Remember that you didn’t gain all your excess weight in one day and you won’t lose it all in one day, but if you take it day by day you will lose all that weight.
