The Oxford English dictionary defines forgiveness as such: “to grant free pardon and to give up all claim on account of an offense or debt .” It is also about letting go of resentment, anger, bitterness, limiting beliefs and vengeful thinking.
Tolerating unacceptable behavior hurts all of us. We can have forgiveness for the person without excusing the act. Keeping healthy boundaries is important in all relationships. Forgiveness allows for healthier relationships with mutual respect.
When we forgive ourselves or others we set ourselves free to live in the moment, to experience inner peace and joy, and feel more balanced in body, mind, emotion and spirit. Inner peace and joy is our birthright and forgiveness opens the doorway for us to receive them.

Forgiveness As a Tool for Healing
Recently I have been thinking about forgiveness as a tool for healing and how to use it more in my daily life. A family member had a reaction to something harmless that I said. I couldn't understand why the person had such an extreme reaction to my words.
Feeling anger rise up in me I chose to breathe, relax, let go and to use forgiveness as a tool for healing instead. Calmly I just looked at my loved one with neutrality. After a few minutes he said "I don't know why I reacted this way?" I understood in that moment that he was having a hard time and it had nothing to do with me.
Using forgiveness as a tool for healing is so powerful. The results in this case were near instantaneous. The energy between us shifted and the tension was released for both of us.
It takes awareness, intention and willingness to choose forgiveness rather than reacting and "being right." Forgiveness allows us to open our hearts and to get back to the love in all of our relationships. Isn't that sublime!!

When a client sets up an Intuitive Reading session with me I suggest that they write down their questions before the session. The specific questions help the client to focus their intention on what they want guidance for in their life.
At the beginning of the Intuitive Reading with each individual, I go into a meditative state and ask Spirit to allow me to be a clear and pure channel of love, healing and guidance for the client. The answer to each question flows through me in words and pictures. The information that I channel is spiritual yet practical.

Reiki Training & Reiki Healing
In September 1992 Maureen received her first degree Reiki training. After years of practicing Reiki healing in small groups, workshops, centers, and retreats throughout the United States, Maureen received her second degree Reiki and Reiki Master Degree in August 1999.
