Self-Assurance is having a clear vision of your personal character and personal potential. It’s been said time and time ago, “What you think of yourself so does the world.” One of the Laws of Success is Self-Confidence therefore, the more confidence you have the more successful you will be.

Yes, you control the path your life takes. Yes, you are the master of your fate. Yes, you can develop self-assuredness through your own thoughts and actions. Below are five helpful tips toward being as confident in yourself as possible.

1. Speak Up & Speak Out

I have learned early in life that all unanswered questions deserve answers. Many do not speak up out of fear of feeling stupid among their peers or themselves. As a matter of fact, I have come to believe that the dumbest question is the one you never ask because your left being in the unknown. Besides, there might me someone seeking the same answer and is also afraid to speak up. I would rather be known for the things I say versus the things I never said. As a result, I ask questions everywhere I go and it has improved my public speaking ability not to mention made me more self-assured in my own words. People can call me many things but, a follower is one of them things. I will be remembered as a free-thinking leader.

2. Refresh Your Thoughts

Always remember that your never to old to learn new things. The more you know the more confident you are in yourself. Besides, keeping up on current events of the world gives you an edge on becoming a great conversationist. Attending motivational events are a great help as well because they keep the brain full of positive thoughts. Keep a journal of your thoughts for reflection and improvement of what you know and believe. Never miss an opportunity to tell yourself that you’re the best.

3. Be Grateful For What You Have

An awesome attainable goal of mine is learning to live with less. I never want to be the person that is controlled by their material possessions and I am a firm believer that our stuff does not make us we make it. Maybe this society preaches that the people with the most stuff are more powerful and power is attributed to success. Well, I say I am going to be grateful for what I have at all times whether a little or a lot. I plan on giving thanks daily for all that I have. My list of thanks includes: my educational endeavors, my unique personality and my small circle of personal relationships. Always remember we all have something to be thankful for. You’ll be amazed how much you have going on for yourself and this should always keep you full of hope for your future. Give thanks always!

4. Praise Others

I feel good in making another person’s day. I love complimenting people on their character, talent, looks or taste in style toward tangible goods. Somehow, seeking the best in others brings out the best in me. People will genuinely like you when you make them feel confidence in themselves and when people genuinely like you it helps develop your self-assuredness.

5. Dress For The Part

55% of what others perception of you is based on how you look. If you look great you feel great is another little know fact. If you don’t look great, I believe it affects how you present yourself and your relationships with others. Good personal appearance can used as an advantage in a world that judges others based upon it. Personal grooming techniques should be mastered as well keeping up with the latest fashion. Displaying good posture is a sign that one pays attention to their our personal presences.

“Self-Assuredness is a personal trait that shows itself, so keep your head to the sky!”
