This is the start of something that I hope will grow into a deeper understanding about ourselves vs the world around us. Such an enigma of faces, and places, and experiences. Everything we take in is filtered through our own senses, unlike anyone else’s in existence. How can we then decide that what we see is the truth, and what you see is not just your own.

I’m still learning , of course, and I plan on never ever knowing anything, ever. Other than that what I see, hear, feel is strictly that …. what I see, hear feel.

All of my interactions teach me what it truly is that I am choosing to see, feel and hear. If we have millions of input per minute and our brain is really only processing a minuscule fraction of that for us, based on our beliefs, fears, hopes, desires, etc.

I don’t know about you, but what I am not processing is what I’m most interested in!

If I continue to believe that I don’t know anything for sure, and I continue to investigate the world beyond what my brain is automatically processing for me, I have a better chance of experiencing so much more in this world.

I will be filtering less, because I believe there is more.

This is where it gets interesting for me.

How do I know what it is I believe?

I open my eyes, and I see what is all around me.

I open my ears and I listen to the words I am hearing, the songs that are playing, the TV programs that I am watching.

There are no accidents, there is no “White noise” in my world. When I truly listen, with my whole self, all of my beliefs, fears, insecurities, fantasies, addictions, are there. Loud, clear, repeating themselves over and over until I truly see them for what they are.

That’s where the magic begins ;)

Your turn-

If nothing is white noise, and everything you experience is your own filter based on your own beliefs, what do you believe?

Ask yourself:

What seems to be the theme of every song you hear on the radio?
What is the tone of your favourite television shows?
What kind of people do you hang out with? Are they positive? Debbie Downers? Conspiracy Theorists? Haters?
What is your work environment like?
What do you notice the most while you are driving? The other cars? The people driving the cars? No cars or people at all?
I truly want to know what you believe, because if my theory is correct, it will be my belief too ……
