During this challenging period of world wide changes, people I work with seem to be struggling more than ever. I see clients that are finding it difficult to find work, other’s who are going through horrible divorces, and many that are dealing with health crisis’s. The emotions that seem to be underlying all this, is an enormous amount of stress, anxiety , and a general sense of feeling overwhelmed.
Well, since I just mentioned the problem, let’s not dwell there too long, and switch our attention right to the solution!
The solution is baby steps! Do one thing a day that makes you uncomfortable, or that you have been procrastinating, that brings you closer to the goal that you would like. It could be sending out one resume to a potential employer, cleaning one drawer in your home or office, cooking and eating a healthy meal, or simply taking a walk out in nature. Since stress and feelings of being overwhelmed could be the main emotion, then “easy does it” should be your motto.
Remember that if your desire is a good outcome, then it essential to feel good. Find someway and somehow to get in a positive mental space. Find some baby steps to bring joy during this challenging time. If you get happy first and keep life really simple, then through the law of attraction , you will undoubtedly have a great result. Most importantly relax and breath!
A great visual for life can be compared to riding on a train. The scenery always changes and if you don’t like your landscape just wait a few minutes. Occasionally there are dark tunnels, but follow the small patches of light as guide posts along the way, and you will eventually see the light at the end of the tunnel. The darkness doesn’t last forever and remember this too shall pass.
Remind yourself: one breath at a time, one step at a time, one drawer at a time, one meal at a time, one phone call at a time. Be gentle and kind to yourself and don’t beat yourself up. You are doing your best. Be your own best friend during these stressful times. Slow down, breath and only do one thing a day towards your final outcome, and before you know it you’ll be out of the tunnel.
