In this discourse, we will briefly cover the different types of angels and their purposes. There are nine different types of angels; angels, Archangels, principalities, powers, virtues, dominions, thrones, cherubim, and seraphim. In this class, we will learn about angels and Archangels. This is not to say that the other angels are not just as important but we are, generally, closer to the angels and Archangels than to the other orders of Heaven.

Angels are a gift from the Divine. In fact, the word angel means “messenger of God.” Whether or not you believe in God, at least know that the angels are very real and that they love you very much and want nothing more than to love and to serve you.

Should you ever need angelic guidance in your life, all you have to do is ask. The angels do listen and they actually are in constant communication with you. You have to be receptive to what they have to say to you. The asking can be aloud or in your mind. The angels will hear your thoughts.

Now, moving on to Archangels, I’d like to introduce you to the various Archangels, their names and name meanings, and what specific gifts have been bestowed upon these angels.

We will begin with Archangel Ariel. Her name means “Lioness of God.” She helps animals and nature.

Then there is Azrael. His name means “Whom God Helps.” He helps those in grief and also helps those who are helping the grief -stricken.

Then there is Chamuel. His name means “He Who Sees God.” He eases anxiety and helps locate things that are lost.

Then there is Gabriel. Her name means “Messenger of God.” She helps women during pregnancy and childbirth.

Then there is Haniel. Her name means “Glory of God.” She assists women during menstruation and with clairvoyance.

Then there is Jeremiel. His name means “Mercy of God.” He works with emotions and helps us work towards positive things.

Then there is Jophiel. Her name means “ Beauty of God.” She brings us beauty and organization to life.

Then there is Metatron. He is believed by some to have been the prophet Enoch. He helps with today’s Crystal and Indigo children.

Then there is Michael. His name means “He Who is Like God.” He is a very powerful protector.

Then there is Raphael. His name means “He Who Heals.” He heals physical ailments in both humans and animals alike.

Then there is Raguel. His name means “Friend of God.” He brings harmony to relationships.

Then there is Raziel. His name means “Secrets of God.” He aids in dream interpretations and past life memories.

Then there is Sandalphon. Some believe he was the prophet Elijah. He helps musicians and music that is used for healing purposes.

Then there is Uriel. His name means “God is Light.” He cures resentment and unforgiving thoughts.

Then there is Zadkiel. His name means “Righteousness of God.” He works with memory problems and other mental functions.

Do remember that angels and Archangels are gifts from the Divine to help us. Also remember, since the angels and Archangels are made of light, they can be in more than one place, with more than one person, at more than one time. Also, bear in mind that you are not at all burdening them by asking for their help. They love you and want nothing but the best for you.
