There is a new product on the market today that may actually help people lose weight. No, it's not a new treadmill or something like that, in fact it is a lot smaller!
Unless you have been hibernating for the past few years in a cave, you would already be aware of the electronic cigarette, a device that helps smokers kick the habit of tobacco smoking. Now, this product is pretty similar to the e-cigarette and looks just like it as well.
While e-cigarettes include nicotine to help reduce the cravings and nicotine withdrawal symptoms, these electric devices only contain food flavorings of commonly known desserts.
The way this e-cigarette is supposed to work is, you inhale on the flavored vapor - much in the same way as you would a regular cigarette. The taste you get is so real that, according to the product’s claims, your brain is supposed to get tricked into thinking that you have actually ingested some food. Whether this gadget really works or not is uncertain, but there are more than enough testimonials on the manufacturer’s website to indicate that they do help folks lose the weight. The manufacturer recommends that you use these smokeless cigarettes in accordance with your current diet program for maximum efficiency.
The sensation you get is like eating your favorite sweet or dessert. What's more, your taste buds will trick your brain into thinking that you're actually eating something and it makes you feel full.
The million-dollar question is, are these e-cigs safe to use ? Are there any side effects at all?
The same sets of questions have been asked about electronic cigarettes and the answer is, we are not quite sure - no one is. There have been no long-term studies being carried out on these devices at the moment to make any valid claims about safety in the long run. Having said that though, the products are only supposedly filled with Propylene Glycol, Vegetable Glycerin, and food flavoring, and these are according to medical reports, non-toxic.
These electric cigarettes do not output any real smoke because nothing burns within the device - vapor is released instead. Flavored liquid is “atomized” into a misty vapor through the vaporizer’s heat coils, turning the liquid into a fine mist. In a way, we can assume that they are safe to a certain extent as they are supposed to not contain any known cancer causing substances. This does not imply that these kinds of products are free of contaminants however.
So much are they? The “VaporTrims” sell for around $15 each and the cigarettes are not refillable. They are pretty much a use it then throw away, consumable product. Each individual cigarette lasts for about 10 servings.
On a side note, if you're not a smoker and you aren’t used to inhaling the way smokers do, this weight loss product may take some time getting used to.
