I asked myself a koan: "What is a koan?"

"A koan," my mind says, "is a question that burns itself out (a tip of the hat to U.G.*); and the left-over ash-less-ness is the essence that is the answer, the very answer that compelled the mind to ask the question "What is the koan?" in the first place... because Consciousness wants to be known: all dressed up in Form, it twirls around in front of its own mirror-nature, trying to see itself seeing itself..."

And so mind goes, in a recursive carousel of tail-chasing...

"What is a koan?"

Un-ask the question!
