Faith in God

During my last few years of study at the university, I discovered that I could not digest any food or drink water. That unhealthy condition started with my strong belief of tainted food I had eaten. Whenever I was taking some food, afterwards I felt an unbearable pain in my stomach and gradually vomited any food.

Different medical treatments that I’ve taken, including hospitalization, were far from real help, and they did not bring me any relief. As my condition worsened I became interested in various methods of complementary medicine and alternative therapies to improve my physical health. Despite my diet , physical and mental Yoga exercises, meditation , and other alternative methods, I continued suffering.

Once when I had taken a treatment in one of the sanatoriums, I met an experienced doctor. That doctor lovingly convinced me that though he could not help me, but with faith in God, everything was possible. As I was far from any religious background, it was not easy for me to seek and find a strong faith in the healing power of God. As I had no other choice though, I believed what the doctor said to me with all my heart. I started searching within my heart the faith in the Supreme Power which was called God. I tried to explore the way to hear the Word of Truth, and to get my own Bible.

When I graduated from the university and obtained the Bible (with great difficulties at that time), I was so absorbed in the truthful messages described in the Bible that my faith in God's power began to grow. And I felt immediate improvement in my health. Though I believed in the power of God, it was a blind faith - without understanding. I felt strongly that healing was on the way. But my hidden fears of breaking some material laws (Ex. – eating "non-fresh" food, or to catch a virus or cold) still had their own place in my mind. Whenever I ate something, which I felt was not absolutely perfect, I suffered.

Although my faith in divine power strengthened and helped me overcome many difficult situations in my life, my physical health still suffered tremendously from my fear. Even though I kept to a strict diet , did physical and mental yoga exercises, meditation , and applied alternative therapies to improve my general health, I was under constant fear. I truly believed that if I trespassed material laws, my stomach would suffer or I would catch flu or some other sickness.

Divine Healing - Divine Mind
A fervent search for true spiritual food and healing brought me to the teaching of the Science of Mind, based on the Bible's inspired eternal truths and practical healing principles (or spiritual ideas) which are explained in the healing book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures written by Mary Baker Eddy.
Through the inspired truths of the Science of Mind-healing and my deep study of the Bible, I started realizing that in a harmonious universe – which is governed by God or divine Principle – there is no place for the existence of any moral or physical law which could give reality to disharmony or disease.
In proportion to my growing spiritual understanding of the truth that "the power of Christian Science and divine Love is omnipotent" and that "it is indeed adequate to unclasp the hold and to destroy disease, sin, and death ", my physical health improved.

Gradually I started realizing that divine Mind emanates and expresses only harmony and health if we allow His pure and high ideas to be present in our consciousness. No disharmony or disease could be expressed through me as my mind expresses only good thoughts that come from the one divine Mind.

During my studying of the Science of divine healing I have found that to have a permanent healing I needed not only to have a steadfast faith in God but also to understand Him. My digestive problems instantly disappeared when I replaced my incorrect beliefs about food with an understanding that my being is the reflection of that divine healing Mind, which cannot suffer.I had also known that "everlasting Love" is the only good cause of everything and my body is a good effect, reflection of that good spiritual cause - omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient Mind.
