With many spiritual awakening schools of thought out there, one wonders how a true spiritual seeker will navigate the manifestations of awakening of thought in the world. The use of the term awakening has become a bit of a buzz word for awakening to a spiritual path.

There are now many varieties of awakening possible, awakening to your dreams , manifesting your destiny, living deliberately, being responsible for the world and how you live in it, living your life now, or just being happy as you are.

The kind of awakening I talk about is a little different, this type of awakening is associated with what the great Advaita spiritual masters have attempted to convey for a millennia. It is the striping away of the all masks that hide your true self which is completely free of the story of you.

The story of you is peace , essence, and completeness, and it has within it the realisation that stops you chasing the dream. Awakening brings the train that we are on, that one whose destinations are; I have got to be a success, I have got to do more, I have to fulfil my personal desires, I have to be somebody, become somebody, to a halt. The result is a re-ordering of your thoughts, your behaviour, and your relationship with life? It changes.

For now in awakening, you have stepped through the first door; the (I) that you think you are is now longer being beamed into the personality. With the sense of (I) gone, with the loss of the Veil that creates individual people, how would you look at life? What (I) would be there within the need to be a somebody? To chase dreams , or to manifest your destiny? Having everything you want in life is indeed a wonderful dream, and if that is all you want then that is fine also, as is just wanting to be happy.

The thing is if you truly want to wake up to your original nature, eventually you have to move beyond the three degrees of people, places and things. Authentic awakening is bigger and broader than we ever could have hope for, and more and more, this type of awakening, the peeling away of the mask to reveal your essence that is already there, is becoming more available.

Essence is still, it’s not moving, yet it creates this world, it is here where you finally come to rest, where suffering ends in the realisation of the deeper aspects of awakening. In Liberation the sense of identity falls away much further, the sense of the personal is gone. Moving into liberation is often a shock, for now there is no person there, no personal you or personal other.

Such an experience is often confusing, and can take sometime for re-orientation, for to live a life from non personal freedom can cause you to appear dysfunctional for a time, and often a portion of humanity may be confused by it, especially those in your close circle, as the character can change significantly enough for questions to be asked.

Integration follows, and the time for this can very from person to person, although do be aware that there are still only a very limited number of people that have gone through this movement. Now all that is seems to be simply arising in the emptiness, everything, including your feelings, thoughts, events and circumstances, and it can all look like a dream. The emptiness that is the background that everything is resting in appears more real, and as involution of the form continues, the emptiness realizes itself and becomes full, self realisation, you have returned home, to what you always were, and it is here that the real work begins for no one.

Author's Bio:

I have been a practitioner of the energetic healing arts, and trained in various schools of meditation as steps on my spiritual path since 1990. Practicing Taoist meditation and Chi Kung since 1992, I have focused on and studied many of the planets major religions on my evolving journey of spiritual discovery.

A long time practitioner of tai chi chaun, I have instructed in this for a number of years between 1996 and 1999, and I have spent time with Reiki, Sekhem and Karuna Reiki, to Master Teacher level in the 1990s.

I encountered and trained in the Melchizedek Method ™ Merkaba Activations and have practiced chi Kung development extensively, plus using a healing art called VortexHealing® Divine Energy Healing since 1999.

As a spiritual seeker my ongoing search for self commenced in 1990 and really my light was lit in early childhood with a yearning, a seeking and contemplation of the mystery of life. The call came very early, and I can remember that when I was in deep sleep Divinity came right in and started me on this journey, and in the sudden awakening to this presence; that moment changed my life forever and that of the many clients that have since benefited from my treatments and experience.
