Whether you use lead generation strategies online or offline, building relationships will always be a part of network marketing. So how do you build relationships online? There are 3 things that you need to do to build relationships online.

1. Brand Yourself- A lot of people in traditional network marketing teach you to lead with your product or business. When you do this online it is even more ineffective because everybody is selling something and you look like just another salesperson.

Branding yourself requires doing something to make yourself stand out from the crowd. The easiest way to do this is to be yourself. You have to let people, get to know, like, and trust you before you start pitching your network marketing business opportunity to them.

Even then, you still should not pitch your business unless someone asks.

One effective way to brand yourself online is to create a website. It could be a blog or a website that tells people about you. Ideally your branding website should be yourname.com.

2. Bring value to others- One of the best ways to bring value to others in network marketing is to help them make some money. The majority of network marketers have not even made much money themselves so how can they teach someone else to make more money?

Well it seems that a popular way to do this is to plug into one of these online network marketing systems. If you do not have much knowledge about internet marketing that seems like the easiest way to learn so that you are able to provide value to other network marketers.

What happens instead is that you end up plugging into a system with pre written emails, and lead capture page templates, and you are deliver the same "so-called" value that everybody else using that same system is providing.

3. Build your list- The idea behind building your email list is so that you can build your relationship with your subscribers over time. You also supplement your network marketing income by offering affiliate products to your list.

Ideally, they will start to know, like, and trust you as send them your auto-responder messages over time. Then they will began to take your recommendation and buy information products through your affiliate links.

Unfortunately these played out internet marketing strategies are not as effective as they used to be.
