It is a well-known fact that education plays a fundamental role in shaping one’s future. Consequently, parents must be selective in choosing the appropriate schools for the education of their beloved children.

Some experts believe that private schools have the means to offer a high quality education while others insist on the fact that their public counterparts, effectively, prepare their students for the challenges of the future.

Regardless of the advantages of public schools, the majority of parents would choose private schools for the education of their children if they have the financial means to afford them. Throughout the following paragraphs, I shall discuss some of the reasons behind their choice.

Due to the fact that private schools charge high tuition fees, they can afford to acquire the latest advances in technology to equip their classrooms, libraries and laboratories, which would tremendously benefit their students.

In addition, they established high-caliber criteria for engaging their teaching staff by offering salaries beyond the common standards. Since they depend upon the number of students enrolled in their classes, they have to adhere to excellence to attract them.

One can’t deny the fact that their facilities, including dormitories and accommodations are spacious and comfortable. Finally, the diversity in their curriculum and extracurricular activities permit their students the opportunity to acquire a wide spectrum of knowledge and social skills that are essential to compete in the fiercely competitive job market.

A thorough look at the different venues of the media, one can deduct that some of the most successful people in our society graduated from private schools.

Furthermore, those who had the opportunity to study at both private and public schools through the various phases of their educational processes have no hesitation to admit that the quality of education at private schools is much better than at their public counterparts.

After consulting with some of my students who are studying at famous private schools in various cities, I heard nothing but praise for theirs teachers and the facilities at their schools.

Despite the fact that public schools have their own merits such as low tuition fees, the need to meet the high standards established by the government and the opportunity to establish a future network of connections, most students whom I interviewed for the article prefer private schools. Unfortunately, they stated that they lack the financial funds to afford them.

Parents are faced with the dilemma of choosing the appropriate schools for the education of their children. Some parents prefer private schools for their prestige and reputation while others select public schools due to their lack of the financial means to pay their extravagant fees. However, most parents enroll their children in public schools for different reasons such as having the opportunity to interact with a diverse variety of students among other incentives.

Whatever your choice will be, your children need guidance emotional and moral support to accomplish their goals of obtaining a high quality education that would prepare them to handle the challenges of the future.
